主讲人简介：
张培震，中国科学院院士、中山大学地球科学与工程学院教授。曾获全国优秀教师奖、国家自然科学二等奖、国家科技进步二等奖、李四光地质科学奖、“十一五”国家科技计划执行突出贡献奖、南粤创新奖等，获评全国先进工作者、留学回国先进个人等称号。长期从事地震地质和现今地壳运动研究，在中国大陆现今构造变形、断裂活动与强震复发规律、汶川地震孕育过程与形成机理、海域活动断层习性和古地震、利用GNSS技术研究南海及周边现今地壳运动等方面开展了大量工作，在国际上形成了较大影响。
Brief Introduction of Professor Zhang Peizhen
Professor Zhang Peizhen is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor at the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering, Sun Yat-sen University.
He has received numerous prestigious awards and honors, including the National Excellent Teacher Award, the Second-Class National Natural Science Award, the Second-Class National Science and Technology Progress Award, the Li Siguang Geological Science Award, the Outstanding Contribution Award of the National Science and Technology Program for the 11th Five-Year Plan Period, and the Nanyue Innovation Award. He has also been awarded the titles of National Advanced Worker and Advanced Individual of Returned Overseas Scholars.
Professor Zhang has long been engaged in research on seismogeology and present-day crustal movement. His work has achieved exceptional international influence, covering present-day tectonic deformation in continental China, fault activity and recurrence patterns of major earthquakes, the nucleation process and formation mechanism of the Wenchuan earthquake, as well as active fault characteristics and paleoseismology in marine areas, and the study of present-day crustal movement in the South China Sea and its surrounding areas using GNSS technology.
