Porous Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) Materials for Substrate Capture, Separation and Catalysis
Brief Introduction of Professor Martin Schröder:
Professor Martin Schröder is the Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at the University of Manchester. A Member of the Academia Europaea and a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC) and the Royal Society of Edinburgh (FRSE), he is a world-leading authority on Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs). He has achieved groundbreaking results in the design and synthesis of multifunctional MOFs for applications in gas adsorption, separation, and catalysis. Professor Schröder pioneered the combination of harmful gas capture with in situ catalytic conversion, effectuating a paradigm shift from "adsorbents" to "molecular factories." His research, comprising over 500 SCI publications, has appeared in leading journals like Nature Chemistry and Nature Materials. He has been honored with major international awards, including the Royal Society of Chemistry's Corday-Morgan Medal, Tilden Prize, and Nyholm Prize for Inorganic Chemistry.
