Maria J. Esteban，法国国家科学研究中心（CNRS）荣休高级研究员、巴黎第九大学（Université Paris-Dauphine-PSL）教授。Esteban教授是欧洲科学院院士、西班牙皇家科学院外籍院士、奥地利科学院外籍通讯院士，同时还是美国工业与应用数学学会（SIAM）会士及国际科学理事会（ISC）会士。她曾于2015年至2019年担任国际工业与应用数学理事会（ICIAM）主席。Esteban教授的研究方向为非线性偏微分方程、变分方法、相对论量子力学（如狄拉克方程与狄拉克–福克模型）以及泛函不等式（如Hardy不等式与Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg不等式）等。她曾获法国科学院Jacques-Louis Lions奖、SIAM杰出服务奖、法国国家功绩骑士勋章，并应邀在2018年国际数学家大会（ICM）作特邀报告，在2003年国际数学物理大会（ICMP）作全会报告。
Brief Introduction of Maria J. Esteban
Maria J. Esteban is a CNRS Emerita Senior Researcher at the Université Paris-Dauphine-PSL. Professor Esteban is a Member of both the Academia Europaea and the European Academy of Sciences (EURASC), a Foreign Member of the Royal Spanish Academy of Sciences, and a Foreign Corresponding Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. She is also a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) and a Fellow of the International Science Council (ISC). She served as President of the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM) from 2015 to 2019.
Professor Esteban's research interests include nonlinear partial differential equations, variational methods, relativistic quantum mechanics (such as the Dirac equation and the Dirac-Fock model), and functional inequalities (such as Hardy inequalities and the Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg inequalities). She has received the Jacques-Louis Lions Prize from the French Academy of Sciences, the SIAM Prize for Distinguished Service to the Profession, and is a Chevalière de l'Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit). She was an invited speaker at the 2018 International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) and delivered a plenary lecture at the 2003 International Congress of Mathematical Physics (ICMP).
