WHU Philosophy Fall Seminar Series
Friday 9 November 2018
The radical left has had significant electoral successes in the last elections in some European countries. Our presentation will attempt to make a typology of these parties and will show the common points but also the great differences between these parties. Marxist thought does not play the same role in each case. What do the parties that have achieved these successes have in common? These successes also raise the question of building a left-wing alliance in Europe. Finally, the political objectives of these parties also raise questions because they are no longer part of a revolutionary and power grabbing perspective.
